Self-Care Isn't Always Pretty

Some times all the self-care you need is to simply lay in bed and binge watch your favorite shows, eat all the junk food, sleep all day, or literally do nothing but stare at the walls and hide from the world. I struggle a lot with my mental health...depression and anxiety sometimes get the absolute best of me.

I have my days where Iโ€™m super social, productive and ready to take on the world and all the tasks thrown at me or that Iโ€™ve planned but then I also have days where I just want to isolate myself from everything and everyone. I see a lot of posts about how to practice low energy witchcraft or lazy witchcraft, and donโ€™t get me wrong I love to do all of those things as well because honestly there are some great tips and advice out there on different ways especially when you donโ€™t have the time or tools to have full blown rituals. I wanted to let you all know thatโ€™s itโ€™s okay not to be okay! Itโ€™s doesnโ€™t make you a โ€œbad witchโ€ when you donโ€™t spend a moon cycle performing magick because you legit donโ€™t have the energy (or time).

For example this last new moon I honestly fell asleep and got nothing done that I wanted to do, am I any less of a witch? NOPE! The saying โ€œyou canโ€™t pour from an empty cupโ€ is so true! Especially in witchcraft, you donโ€™t want to perform spells when the energy just isnโ€™t there because when you think about it are you really putting out the energy you want to manifest when it feels like youโ€™re forcing your self to do the work?

So wait until you have the time and youโ€™re feeling the vibes you want, there will always be another moon phase, another Sabbat, another day to do not only the spells but the simple things in life youโ€™re wanting/needing to get done!
